Welcome to Chalet Glen.

This vacation Chalet is managed by Grindelhomes.

We hope you will have a great stay and are at your disposal from 07:00 to 23:00 at +41 33 853 10 04 if you have any questions or requests.

ACTIVITIES
There is no bad weather, only bad clothes! We are happy to help you organize activities or excursions in good or bad weather. For more information on things to do, please see our Grindelwald page.

BUS
Traveling with the ski or local bus is included with your Grindelwald Visitor card.

To plan your journey, you can use the SBB-website or download their app. Your nearest bus stop is Grindelwald Grund.

CHECK-IN
Your apartment will be ready for your arrival from 16:00. If the apartment is ready earlier, we are happy to welcome you earlier as well, free of charge.

CHECK-OUT
All good things come to an end.

We kindly ask you to leave the apartment by 11:00 at the latest. Unannounced late check-out will automatically be charged a fee.

This is a vacation apartment — please leave it as you found it. The departure cleaning is included in your stay, but we do ask you to remove any trash, food or other items belonging to you.
The kitchen needs to be tidied, plates and cutlery washed or placed in the dishwasher with the program started, garbage bags disposed of in the appropriate containers, and recycling taken out (recycling containers at the fire station).

We reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of CHF 150.– in case of negligence.

DEPOSIT

The deposit of CHF 500.– will be refunded after the apartment has been checked and cleaned, minus the city tax of CHF 5.25 per adult and CHF 4.25 per child over 12 years of age.

DESTINATION CITY TAX

A city tax is charged for your stay in Grindelwald: CHF 5.25 per adult and CHF 4.25 per child over 12 years of age, per night. The amount will be automatically deducted when your deposit is refunded.

ESSENTIAL CARE PRODUCTS
You will find a small selection of Rituals products in your bathrooms — lovely, fragrant and Ecocert-certified, making them environmentally friendly as well.

HEATING
Heating is controlled directly on the heaters.

HOUSEKEEPING
If you would like to take advantage of our housekeeping service, you can relax while you explore Grindelwald and its surroundings. Available on request for an additional fee.

If you prefer to maintain the apartment yourself during your stay, a vacuum cleaner is available in the laundry room on the ground floor for your convenience.

KITCHEN
Everything is provided for you to use and to make your stay feel like home. Please leave the kitchen as you would wish to find it. Please note that some kitchens are equipped with induction stovetops, which — due to close proximity — may pose a risk for guests with pacemakers.

KITCHEN DISHWASHER
If your apartment has a dishwasher, we supply a couple of dishwasher tabs at the start of your stay. Should you need more, tablets can be purchased at the Coop on the main street or at Hotel Glacier reception.

LAUNDRY
The laundry room is located on the ground floor. Please be considerate of other guests and leave it as you found it. Detergent can be purchased at the Coop.

LAUNDRY SERVICE
Grindelhomes offers a laundry service. Please fill out the laundry service order form and drop the bag off at Hotel Glacier reception. For next-day delivery, laundry must be dropped off before 11:00. We do not offer dry cleaning services.

MASSAGE
Whether it’s a sore neck, backache, or headache, a massage can work wonders. Discover our range of rejuvenating spa treatments at Hotel Glacier for relaxation and recovery. Massages can be booked in advance by phone or online.

NIGHT REST
Please respect quiet hours after 22:00 and keep doors and windows closed to limit the spread of noise.

NO SMOKING
Smoking is only permitted on the living room balcony. Please do not throw cigarette butts from the balcony — use an ashtray and close the windows while smoking outside.

PARKING
You will find a parking space directly in front of the apartment. Please only use the parking spot designated for your use.

RESTAURANT
We would love to welcome you at Restaurant Glacier, where you can choose to dine à la carte or enjoy our chef’s choice menu.

SAUNA
Private use of Hotel Glacier’s spa facilities can be arranged through reception for an additional fee.

SKI ROOM
Skis and boots are not allowed in the apartments. Please store ski, snowboards and shoes in the ski room on the ground floor.

TOWELS
One towel per guest is provided. Please feel free to wash the towels yourself or contact us for replacement. There is an additional charge for this service.

TV  
The television has Apple TV. We kindly ask you not to change the language settings on any of the devices.

TV REMOTE CONTROL
If your TV remote goes missing or gets broken, a replacement fee of CHF 95.– will be applied.
So please handle it with care… the TV loves its remote as much as you do!

WASTE / GARBAGE / RECYCLING
We ask you to dispose of waste inside and outside the Chalet Glen apartments in the appropriate containers. The local government only accepts garbage in the provided garbage bags. Please fill the bags and dispose of them in the container.
Recycling can be done next to the fire station or Grindelwald bus terminal. Please help protect our environment by disposing of your recycling correctly.

WATER
You can drink the water from the tap — it is pure and delicious, try it!

WIFI
The Chalet Glen apartments have free WiFi. You will find the network name and password in the apartment or in your check-in email.
