Air conditioning & heating

Our rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning.
Please use the wall-mounted controller to find the right ‘feel-good’ temperature for you.
The air conditioning is centrally turned off in seasons where the outside temperature is 20 degrees celcius or lower.

Amenities

To ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, we offer a range of essential amenities, including toothbrushes, slippers, feminine sets, manicure sets, vanity sets, shaving kits, combs, hair brushes, shower caps, shoe horns, loofah sponges, sewing kits, sanitary bags, tissue boxes, and shoe mitts. These items can be requested at the reception, and our staff will be happy to provide them for you.

Breakfast is on us—fuel for your alpine adventures! After all, your reservation includes breakfast—because who can start an alpine adventure on an empty stomach? Enjoy our buffet packed with fresh, local goodies from our Grindelwald partners!

All good things must come to an end.
At the Grindellodge your room is reserved for you until 11:00.
You can also ask us for a late departure until 14:00 for a CHF 30.- fee.
If the room is available, we will be happy to fulfill your request.

Damage & Theft

Even if Lady Gaga or Usain Bolt trashed their room, they’d be charged for the damage.
The same applies to every disrespectful two- or four-legged customer.

Start your culinary journey with the refined flavors of Japan. At the Grindellodge, we are pleased to collaborate with our in-house Umami Restaurant.

Dogs

As dog lovers we know that there is nothing better than a holiday with your faithful companion.
The wonderful mountain world of Grindelwald with its year-round hiking possibilities is ideal for this.
Your dog can travel free on the mountain and gondola lifts and on Grindelwald’s local buses (train to Kleine Scheidegg – from there to the Jungfraujoch half price).
So we welcome your (well-behaved) dog and look forward to welcoming him/her.

Environment

We have taken into account all aspects of our project in terms of the environment, from the construction of intelligent rooms and the selection of energy-efficient equipment to a large number of Bio and Ecocert products.

You too can contribute to this global work by reusing your towels. However, if you need a new towel, just leave it on the floor.

Fitness Studio

When the weather takes a turn for the worse, check out our fitness room, with plenty of space to stretch and workout.

Hotel guests have free access to the treadmill, bike, and yoga mats.

Feeling peckish? Our kiosk offers a selection of soft drinks and snacks to satisfy your cravings. If your are hungry, visit us in the reception desk!

Laundry

We offer you the possibility to use our laundry room free of charge, which is equipped with a washing machine (including washing powder), a dryer, an ironing board, and an iron.

Alternatively, our housekeeping team can take care of the washing and drying for you and deliver the clean laundry directly to your room for a small additional charge.

Luggage

The last thing you want is to be burdened in exploring the region.
You are welcome to store your luggage safely with us, but please note that we cannot take care of your pets.

Neckache, backache, headache or heartache – a massage can fix it all.

Massages can be conveniently booked at Reception or online via our Treatment menu

For your convenience, kindly visit us at Reception, and we’ll be delighted to arrange a shuttle to the Boutique Hotel Glacier for your massage experience.

Night’s rest

We ask you to respect other guests and neighbours and to avoid loud noise after 22:00.

Parking

Grindellodge offers complimentary free parking spaces for our guests; however, due to limited space, parking cannot be reserved in advance. Parking spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. While we strive to accommodate all guests, spaces are subject to availability upon arrival.
We would like to point out that the Grindellodge is not liable for any stolen vehicles and objects left in the car.

Picnic & Cooking

We ask you to limit the consumption in the hotel to the Umami Japanese Restaurant or our Kiosk.
Cooking or picnics in the rooms and restaurant is not allowed and can be fined CHF 150.-

Public Transportation

The bus stop, Lauberhorn, is located directly across from the hotel, provides transportation to both the Grindelwald train station and the First station.
From there you can reach various destinations by train and gondola. Grindelwald Bus.

Reception Desk

Our reception is open daily from 07:00 to 21:00.

Safe

There is a small safe in each room. Please follow the instructions.
If you have valuables that you prefer to keep outside the room, contact the reception.

Shuttle Service

Need a lift? Our shuttle service has you covered! Book in advance for a smooth and seamless ride—available for an additional fee to get you where you need to go. Simply stop by the Reception desk, and we’ll gladly organize it for you!

Ski & Bike Room

In winter for ski and ski boots and in summer for bikes, we are happy to offer you a storage room in the basement.
We ask you not to have your ski boots in your hotel and room to protect the floor.

Smoking

The entire hotel is non-smoking. Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas!
The hotel is entitled to charge a fine of CHF 150.- for prohibited smoking.

Spa

A stay in the mountains isn’t only about action. Post ski, hike, or run, take time to unwind and recharge in our bijou and blissfully private SPA, open to hotel guests only and bookable in advance for an additional fee.

You’ll find a sauna, a quiet relaxation area with a large waterbed, refreshments, and an indoor whirlpool.

Please observe the sauna rules.

Television Remote Control

If your TV remote goes missing or gets broken, a replacement fee of CHF 95.– will be applied.
So please handle it with care… the TV loves its remote as much as you do!

Towels

We try to protect our environment and ask you to take care of it by reusing your bath towels.

Waste

We ask you to dispose waste inside and outside the hotel in the appropriate containers.

Water

The water in the bottle in your room comes from the tap.
It is the glacier water and it is pure and delicious, try it!
